Fargo North boys hockey loses game to West Fargo by 4 goals

Fargo North boys hockey team faced West Fargo on Friday, Dec. 14 at the Coliseum. The first period of the game was a close. They finished the first period with a goal against West Fargo. West Fargo came back though in the second and third periods to beat North 4 to 2.

As of now Fargo North has 3 wins, against Grafton/ Park River, Jamestown, and Thief River Falls. They have 8 losses. Three of those losses, the winning team just had one more goal over North.

Senior Captain, Jack Dorsher said,”We like all we had to do was show up and win. We didn’t do the little things right. The last few weeks, after the Holiday tournament, we finally found our identity and who we are as a team and we’re more prepared to face not only West Fargo, but the other teams we lost to.”

The lead goal scorer of Fargo North at the moment is forward sophomore, Owen Bartz with 9 goals and 3 assists. Junior and forward Caleb Fritel follows closely behind with 6 goals and 7 assists. And lastly, junior forward Michael Hallquist who has 5 goals and 7 assists.

Fargo North is ranked 8 out of 10 teams. The top three standings in EDC are Grand Forks Central, West Fargo, and Fargo Davies.
