Pet of the Month- Wasp Nest

This month’s pet of the month are the mysterious wasps that nested under Sam Jackson’s garage. The wasps (at least that is what we are pretty sure they are) appeared flying around her yard mid way through the summer, though her family was unsure of where they were all coming from. As she later found out, there had been two large wasp nests in her yard. The first being on the side of her front door (how inviting!) and the second being underneath a crack in the front of her garage. Her family tried various techniques to get the wasps to find a new home. From insecticides, to wasp traps, to tape and plastic wrap (that the wasps eventually chewed through), her family was having no luck getting rid of them. Now, her family has given up on killing them and decided to keep the guard wasps by her garage until winter when they all die off. So next time you decide to stop by the Jackson residence, give the nice little guard wasps a big old hello!
