Drew Burris is a sophomore at North High with an adorable furry friend named Scout. She was introduced to the family a few years ago when Drew was in 8th grade and they’ve been inseparable ever since, bonding over car rides and walks. Scout is very connected to nature and loves being outside, laying on the grass, refusing to be picked up and sent inside. She loves all of her toys equally and thinks she’s a human.
Some of Drew and Scout’s favorite things to do together include going to Starbucks to get pup cups and going swimming at the lake. Drew describes her as fearless, except when it comes to the loud fireplace and thunderstorms. When asked what advice he had for future pet owners Drew says just let your dog have fun. “Your dog gets its life once,” Although training is important, showing your pet affection and letting them be happy and enjoy their lives can be even more rewarding.
