Love is in the air as Fargo couples begin making their Valentines plans. Fargo has some of the cutest spots to take your significant other on a date that they won’t forget. I figured I would take a trip around Fargo and find a few perfect spots for different date ideas.

My first stop is perfect for a nice lunch, a little more casual then a fancy dinner but just as meaningful. Rosey’s Bistro located Downtown on Broadway is the cutest restaurant perfect for a lunch date on Valentines Day.

Rosey’s menus are limited but everything on them is delicious, they focus on sandwiches, more specifically gourmet grilled cheese, and soups. Inside the store it’s a little loud because it is not a very large area, but it is made up for by the friendly service and fantastic food.

My order did not take long and it allowed for the perfect opportunity for conversion. I ordered a classic grilled cheese and tomato soup and it was absolutely delicious. While eating I looked around and noticed how the Roseys has taken on a more modern meets hipster type style that looks very aesthetically pleasing. This restaurant is perfect for a casual but classy lunch date with your perfect date.

If a lunch date is too much for you, another great place to visit is The Silver Lining Creamery. Silver Lining is a newly opened ice cream shop in Downtown Fargo, perfect for a simple date.

Silver Lining offers a very cozy spot, not too loud and perfect of enjoying some unique ice cream flavors. Every two weeks on Sunday the ice cream shop changes their flavors giving you new options to enjoy. The store is not very large giving it the perfect intimate feel but nothing too extreme.

Although the weather is cold ice cream is a yearlong favorite for many. I would recommend visiting later in the evening so as you sit by the large open windows, you can look out at Downtown Broadway and see the lit-up road giving it a romantic feel.

Finally, if you are looking for a beautiful night out with your special someone the best place Fargo can offer is Toscana. Toscana’s is an Italian restaurant located Downtown on Broadway. Toscana’s gives a very elegant vibe when you enter and see the gold walls accompanied by various pastoral art pieces. The service is tremendous and are quick with getting your food prepared and back to you in a timely manner. Not to mention the menu selection was quite large, but it was a little pricey.

The atmosphere was great, the lighting was dim giving it an intimate feel, along with the quite music perfect for a conversation to be held. Toscana was hands down the best restaurant for a date in Fargo and I would recommend reserving a seat for Valentine’s day if you are looking for somewhere to go.

Although these spots make out for a great dates, don’t worry if you are single and just looking for a place to go with friends these are also perfect. Take a group of your friends out for a fancy dinner at Toscana’s or grab some ice cream with your best friend. Make Valentines day more meaningful than just a date, be especially kind and make everyone’s day great.
