Craving something ethnic? Passage to India is a restaurant that serves North and South Indian cuisine, and was even visited by Guy Fieri in his TV show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” Located near West Fargo, they offer a full authentic Indian menu with their popular items like chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani rice, and other meaty options (including a vegetarian option too). The owner, Saravana Rangaswamy, met Fieri and introduced him to his restaurant. On the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives website, it was described as “warm and inviting.” Passage to India offers takeout for a Covid-safe way to eat their incredible food.
If you are in the mood for comfort food, restaurants like Blackbird Woodfire were made for your craving. Blackbird Woodfire, located in downtown Fargo, includes a menu full of handmade artisan pizzas and salads that will fulfill your appetite. They have 5 different options of pizzas, as well as a build-your-own pizza with a variety of toppings like meats, cheeses, vegetables, and others. Guy Fieri even visited and tried their sausage apple pizza! Blackbird Woodfire started as Truck Pizza, a small food truck that served woodfire pizza at different events during the summertime, and now that they have a great long-term location in the center of downtown, they are happy to offer curbside pickup.
Still want pizza? That’s alright, because Sammy’s pizza downtown is top-rated and has amazing food. They currently offer takeout, and have all the different pizzas you could think of. Their specialties, like the taco pizza and meat lovers special pizza, are some diners favorites. They also have ice cream and different salads (if you want a healthier option.)
Jade Dragon on Main Ave. is a great place to order delicious Chinese food from if you’re extra cautious about the pandemic. They are only offering takeout currently, and have strict requirements to keep their restaurant safe and healthy. Fieri didn’t visit this restaurant, but it’s a top-rated Chinese restaurant in Fargo. Jade Dragon is situated in a strip mall that contains other Asian stores like the Asian and American market. Their menu has familiar foods like fried rice and noodles, and also has some unique foods like Moo moo gai pan chicken. It’s very delicious and highly recommended.
The fifth takeout restaurant in Fargo that you should give a try is Smiling Moose Deli. They offer takeout, dine-in, and delivery! Their requirements for health and safety are reliable. They offer a menu with tasty sandwiches that will leave you satisfied. They have a full breakfast menu and lunch menu, and have perfect deli meats and veggies that make your sandwich taste fresh. They have a variety of different bread choices, and many uniquely flavored meats like wildfire chicken. Not only do they have a lot of meat sandwiches, but they also have a few vegetarian options as well.
