Brew Bird Restaurant review

Brew Bird is a new, locally-owned restaurant that is located on 30 N University Drive, just two blocks north of Main Avenue. To start off, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to vegans, vegetarians, or anyone else who doesn’t or can’t eat meat. The main item on the menu is chicken, while they do have side options that people with restrictions can eat, people don’t typically go to restaurants just to eat the sides.
Since the restaurant is new, the menu isn’t very big, but the food is great and the menu gets straight to the point on the food and the style. The outside of Brew Bird is very simple and basic with a sign that has the name, the social media accounts of the restaurant, the logo and the slogan “Funky Fried Chicken”. On the menu, there are two different types of chicken tenders (grilled and crispy), five types of sandwiches, eight different sides, two types of salads and a small kids selection. They also offer the basic pop options and have many types of beers for people who are of age. I ordered the three piece crispy chicken tenders, waffle fries, fresh fruit and brussel sprouts just because I wanted to try as much as possible. One unique aspect of Brew Bird is that there’s a sauce bar that has a much larger selection of sauces than other restaurants typically would.
The inside of Brew Bird is very cute and simple. There are many seating options and at the tables they have pictures of the logo and colored pencils so the customers can color while they wait. There’s a large neon LED sign that says “love me tender” on the back wall and the ceilings are lined with cafe lights. The vibes of the restaurant are really chill and relaxing and the service is great too. You order right when you walk into the restaurant and then you choose your own seating. There are also two large garage doors that can be opened, therefore outdoor space can be utilized during the warm months of the year.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to all chicken lovers and people that like good food in general. Brew Bird is family-owned and is open from 11am to 9pm Mondays through Friday, on Saturdays from 10am to 9pm, and on Sundays from 10am to 8pm. This restaurant is new and locally owned with a good message and good food, which gets it 5 Spartan Heads!
